The Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre at City University of Macau (CityU) recently organized two “Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurship and Employment Study Tours (Hengqin)”, bringing over 50 faculty and students to the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone to learn about the development of traditional Chinese medicine and renewable energy industries.
The delegation visited the Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley (Inno Valley HQ), alumni enterprise Aoyan Smart Technology, a zero-carbon laboratory, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cultural experience center, and the Pien Tze Huang Museum. Participants also took part in incense-making workshops, gaining hands-on experience in TCM culture. The tour highlighted Hengqin’s innovation ecosystem, energy infrastructure, and TCM industry development. At the Pien Tze Huang Museum, the delegation received a warm welcome and attended a health seminar on liver care, followed by an immersive incense-crafting session.
During the visit, the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre signed strategic cooperation agreements with Aoyan Smart Technology and the Pien Tze Huang Museum. The partnerships aim to promote industry-academia-research integration, bridge talent development with industrial needs, and foster collaborative innovation platforms for academic translation and student capability enhancement.
