On 5 Sept, the Deputy General Secretary of Shunde People’s Goverment, Ms. Li ShaoLing, led a delegation to visit the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS). Vice Rector Kong Fanqing and Associate Dean of FHSS Wang Zhong welcomed the delegation.

Vice Rector Kong introduced to the delegation the University’s development, characteristics and achievements. She pointed out that the University has always been very close partner with Guangdong Province constantly and looked forward to the abundant accomplishment with the Shunde District in the future. Associate Dean Wang Zhong introduced the Programme of Cultural Industries Management and proposed cooperation with Shunde District on research and planning of cultural industry, training of civil servants and on students’ internship and employment.

Ms. Li congratulated the great achievements of City University of Macau and showed her appreciation to the Programme of Cultural Industries Management. Ms. Li expressed that Foshan and the Shunde District have paid high attention on the development of cultural industry and has developed a number of policies to promote it. Ms. Li agreed with the proposal of Prof. Wang and said that she will work on it and carry it out. Besides, Ms. Li Yingran, the General Director of Cultural and Sport Affairs Bureau, introduced the history and culture of Foshan, and would like to welcome the teachers and students from CityU to visit them.

The delegation also includes the Deputy General Director of Foreign Affairs Bureau in Shunde District, Mr.You Zhipeng, and the Professors of the Programme of Cultural Industry Management.
