Vice Rector Kong Fanqing, Pro-Rector Ip Kuai Peng and Registrar Sean Li and the delegation visited Guangxi Normal University on 1 July and were warmly received by Secretary of Party Committee Wang Nan. Both parties attended a meeting in which they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic communication. Secretary Wang welcomed the visit of our university leaders and introduced the development and achievements of Guangxi Normal University. Vice Rector Kong expressed gratitude for the hospitality from Guangxi Normal University and congratulated them for their accomplishments in recent years. In addition, she introduced the status quo and unique curriculum of CityU. During the meeting, both parties deliberated on the expectations of the future and areas of cooperation. In hope to advocate academic development and communication in Macau and Guangxi, they proposed cooperation in areas including recommendation without examinations for outstanding students, joint training for lecturers, collaboration in scientific research and strategic cooperation between City University of Macau and Guangxi Normal University. At the end of the meeting, Secretary Wang and Rector Kong signed a MoU under the witness of the university leaders.
