Open Day Successfully Held in Triumph and Delight

The Open Day of City University of Macau was held in the Taipa campus on April 29, with a view to making the community more aware of the campus’ multiculturalism. The campus was open to all the citizens of Macau and attracts teachers and students from many high schools to join. They enjoyed the beautiful campus environment and gained understanding for the characteristics of teaching facilities, unique talent training model and fruitful educational achievements. The University’s philosophy and characteristics were demonstrated in an all-rounded, zero distance manner.

This Open Day was simple and solemn, kicked off by the heads of many well-known secondary schools in Macau. Lead by Rector Shu Guang Zhang, leaders of all faculties and student’s representative, the Opening Ceremony was officially inaugurated.

Starting with the theme "City Journey", City University highlighted a renovating and a wide range of interesting content, staying close to the majority of students and the public's attention. Exhibition of student works, experiencing special classes, topic based talks and lectures, tea gathering and sharing, performances, course introduction and admission consultation were also included. Guests can engage in the "green, intelligent, friendly" new campus environment and experience the unique campus culture and distinctive school characteristics through a journey of campus tour, game clearance and guiding around.

Many of the participants found that the Open Day allows them a comprehensive understanding of City University. They enjoyed experiencing the exquisite campus environment and acquiring a sense of enthusiasm and diligent learning atmosphere from our teachers and students.

With the industrious preparation of our colleges and departments responsible for the open day, we successfully showed visitors and guests the latest development of our University via a series of relaxing games and delightful campus tour guides. We fully integrated into the University's educational philosophy and characteristics, which runs through the school motto "Virtue, Knowledge and Practice,".
