Secretary of Party Committee and Associate Dean of China Foreign Affairs University Yuan Nan Sheng and Delegation of Office of the Commissioner of the FMPRC Visited CityU for Research

Secretary of Party Committee and Associate Dean of China Foreign Affairs University Yuan Nan Sheng, Chief of China Diplomacy Research Centre Wang Chun Ying, Chief of Department of Public Diplomacy and Information of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (FMPRC) Li Nan and First Secretary of the Office of the Commissioner of the FMPRC Zhu Yu visited CityU on 18 October. They were warmly received by Vice Rector Kong Fanqing, Secretary General of Council Robert Chan, Registrar Li Shu Ying and Director of General Education Department Liu Wenjian.

Both parties conducted a discussion on the establishment of a General Education elective course of diplomacy. During the discussion, Registrar Li demonstrated the development and ethos of CityU, which were affirmed by the guests. Secretary Yuan introduced the development of China Foreign Affairs University and expressed his support and gave advice for the new diplomacy elective course.

Affirming the planning of the General Education course, Associate Dean Yuan suggested that China Foreign Affairs University can provide their educators for the course and support students for extra curriculum in Beijing. Chief Li stated that Office of the Commissioner of the FMPRC will act as the bridge for China Foreign Affairs University and tertiary institutions in Macau for curriculum collaboration and they will follow the development of the collaboration of CityU and China Foreign Affairs University.
