On June 6, the Inauguration Ceremony of Faculty of Finance of City University of Macao, Signing Ceremony of University-Enterprise Cooperation Agreement and Awarding Ceremony of Distinguished Professors were held at Taipa Campus. This activity aims to further deepen and consolidate the cooperative relationship between CityU and Macao enterprises and financial institutions, build a good financial education environment and better serve society. CityU has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with major leading firms in the financial sector.

Rector Shu Guang Zhang of CityU said in his welcoming speech that CityU has always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with the financial sector, and has also devoted itself to training specialized financial professionals to cater for the financial and economic development in Macao, the region and the world. CityU sets up the Faculty of Finance, offers doctoral and master's degree programs in finance, and continuously deepens the characteristics of educational resources. The signing of this framework agreement on cooperation not only consolidates the cooperation between the two sides in the past, but also looks to the future, hoping for closer interaction and cooperation in talent training, academic research and professional training to jointly promote Macao's socio-economic prosperity and development.

Then, in the presence of all the guests, Director Sou Chio Fai, Deputy Director Zhu Hong, Commissioner Lei Ho Ian, Chairman Chan Meng Kam, Rector Shu Guang Zhang and Chairman António José Félix Pontes jointly unveil the curtain of the Faculty of Finance, representing the official establishment of the Faculty of Finance of our university. Later, CityU signed strategic cooperation agreements with representatives of various banks to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides and carry out financial academic exchanges and cooperation.

After the signing ceremony, Rector Shu Guang Zhang awarded a special researcher and a distinguished professor certificate to Mr. Dai Wei, President of Special Assets Management Department of Ping An Bank Co., Ltd, and António José Félix Pontes, Chairman of the Management Committee of the Macau Institute of Financial Services, respectively.
