On October 16th, CityU Rector Shu Guang Zhang, Golden Dragon Group President Ng Sek Sam, and Executive Associate Dean Gavin Chau of the Faculty of International Tourism and Management of CityU led a delegation to visit Qingdao University of Technology (QUT). They were warmly welcomed by QUT leaders, including Secretary Wang Yajun of the CPC Committee of QUT, Vice President Yu Dehu, and Weijun Gao, Academician of the Engineering Academy of Japan. The two parties then had a discussion at the symposium.
During the symposium, Secretary Wang Yajun gave another warm welcome to the CityU delegation, and briefly presented QUT’s unique characteristics and its development in the past two years. Rector Zhang introduced CityU’s development and thanked QUT for its support over the years. He mentioned that CityU’s development corresponded with the need for talents during Macao’s socio-economic development. CityU responded to the need by offering related courses and serving the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The two universities expected further cooperation, such as building an effective platform for higher education communication between CityU and QUT, and between Macao and Qingdao. The universities also looked forward to more exchanges in curriculum development and academic research, more student exchange programs, and the implementation of cooperation schemes.
