On the 26th May, the chairman of the council of CityU Chan Meng Kam, the Acting Rector Pang Su-Seng, the Vice Rector Aliana Leong and Kong Fanqing, the CityU Secretary General of the Council Chan Chon Pat, the Associate Dean of the Faculty of International Tourism and Management Li Xi and the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Khong Yueng Wah warmly welcomed a delegation from Xiamen University. The delegation includes the Chairman of University Council of Xiamen University Zhang Yan, the Deputy Chairman of University Council Lin Dongwei, the Director of the Institute of Education Liu Haifeng and the General Secretary of College of the Environment & Ecology Shen Xiaoping. During the meeting, the chairman of the council Chan Meng Kam expressed that CityU has been developed with the support from the Macao SAR. In the future, CityU will continue to foster more talents for MSAR, and make MSAR as a world leisure and tourism Centre. The Acting Rector Pang Su-Seng said in the speech that CityU is honored for the visiting of Xiamen University, and he expressed his wish that the meeting will enhance the level and areas of cooperation between CityU and Xiamen University in the future. The Vice Rector Aliana Leong and Kong Fanqing also introduced respectively the development status of the faculties and subjects of CityU. The Chairman of University Council of Xiamen University Zhang Yan thanked CityU for the warm greeting. He indicated that the higher education sector of MSAR has introduced many talents from Mainland China and all over the world, and he expected that the two universities will exchange valuable experience and cooperate in the applied courses in the future. |
