Co-organised by the Macau Greater Bay Area Human Resources Association, Faculty of Business of the City University of Macau, and Macau Financial Law Association, the “Building Macao Modern Finance Talent Pool Symposium” was hosted today (28 April) at the Taipa campus.
The symposium gathered industry experts to share insights on various topics, namely the development trend of Macao’s modern financial industry, the building of the local financial talent pool, and how to cope with the future development of human resources. The event allowed industrial players and the young generation to enhance their understandings of the topics and helped them better align with the development of Macao SAR policies to local economic diversification.
In line with the SAR Government’s objectives to accelerate the modern financial industry development mentioned in the Second Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development for the 2021-2025 period, the symposium aimed to provide academic support in formulating the plan for the development of local financial talent pool.
The symposium was supported by various local institutions, namely Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Ltd, AIA Group Ltd, Ant Bank (Macau) Ltd, ChongWa (Macao) Financial Asset Exchange Co Ltd, and Rato, Ling, Lei & Cortés – Advogados (Lektou). The event attracted nearly 150 participants from various sectors of the community, including practitioners in human resources, banking, insurance and finance, students from tertiary institutions and those interested in modern finance.
