The Faculty of Business (FOB) is the time-honoured faculty at the City University of Macau (CityU), offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes in Business Administration, with a strong emphasis on theory and hands-on experience. The flagship faculty has a team of faculty members with extensive industry and overseas industry experience dedicated to developing interdisciplinary talents to serve the international business community.
Elite faculty offers high quality programmes
- In line with the international education standard, FOB is the first business school in Macao to obtain the Gold status accreditated by the Business Graduates Association for its high-quality programmes, diverse and innovative learning practices, and rigorous management.
- FOB offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes in Business Administration which obtained accreditations by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, United Kingdom) and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA Australia), providing graduates with a solid foundation and key expertise needed to build a successful career in business and finance industries.
- The “International Business Cohort programme”, an English-medium bachelor’s degree programme, only admits top students with admission scores equivalent to key universities in mainland China. With a smaller class size and international teaching team, the students can learn faster and perform better. Graduates will have promising opportunities to embark on master’s programmes at world-renowned universities for further study and job or internship opportunities with top companies.

- Inspiring students’ creativity and building a better learning environment through industry-academia collaboration.
- Engaging students in field trips, professional competitions, entrepreneurship competitions, business talks and seminars to gain more professional experience and put their learning into practice.
- Partnerships with well-known enterprises in Macao and mainland China to provide students with a boarder internship platform. They are Tencent, Macao Startup Club, China Railway Construction and Electrification Bureau Group, Shenzhen Bocheng Accounting Firm, China Mobile, People's Insurance Company of China, Bank of China, Lenovo Group Limited, Shinewing Certified Public Accountants Co Ltd, China International Intellectech Co Ltd, AIA (Macau), China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, Zongbo Education.
- Actively building an alumni platform and career centre, inviting alumni to share their successful experiences, organising career talks to build up an alumni network and providing more direct employment assistance to students.
- Extensive semester exchange programmes under collaboration with higher education institutions at home and abroad to enhancing students’ professionalism and international vision, including University of Grenada (Spain), Tunku Abdul Rahman University (Malaysia), Shenzhen University (China), Shanghai University (China), East China Normal University (China), University of British Columbia (Canada), National University of Singapore (Singapore), University of Alberta (Canada).
- One of the members to support the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative, actively integrates corporate sustainability into education, research and campus practice.
