Join hands with legal institutions to foster professionals

SOL organises high-level academic events in collaboration with the industry to enrich students’ learning resources. Together with the Institute for Lusophone Countries Law, the Macao SAR Government Legal Affairs Bureau, the NOVA School of Law of the Nova University Lisbon (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), and the Centre for Research on Law and Society, SOL co-organised the Fifth Congress of Lusophone Countries Law at the campus. The event gathered experts and scholars from home and abroad to explore the challenges and opportunities of law in Asian and Portuguese-speaking African countries and Macao’s role as the exchange platform between China and lusophone countries under the Belt and Road initiative.
To deepen the study of the development of Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen the legal exchange between the regions, SOL, together with the Macau Legal System Research Association, the Legal Theories and Practice Center of the Sun Yat-sen University, and the Law and Globalization Research Center of the Renmin University of China, organised the seventh forum (Chinese: 第七屆濠粵法律論壇) to discuss the governance and legal development of the SAR and Guangdong under the Belt and Road Initiative.
In addition, SOL also organised the Legal Forum, which brought together renowned experts, students, and alumni from CityU and its partner universities to explore legal topics across various disciplines.
