Professor Leandro said, “Education is at the core of this research. The critical objective of this international project is to deliberate on various concepts, pathways, and modalities for preparing the next generation.” He stated, “Academic publication is never a project of few, and as all responsible editorial research projects, this one is the result of close to a 3-years-long process involving 42 contributors, spread around 14 nations.”
The monograph provides an in-depth analysis of the current state of modern educational architecture from an interdisciplinary framework and synthesizes the problems and challenges facing global education sectors. It is a collective result of senior university professors sharing their learnings and anticipating the pivotal issues facing all education professionals. Looking into the Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the United Nations and scientific evidence, the book will address the fundamental question of whether the current education system can prepare new generations of university millennials to serve societal needs.
Currently, society enjoys abundant and embracing academic literature on education. Dynamic socioeconomic development in a knowledge-based society relies on highly educated citizens. The book analyzes the existing education system and social development needs from the perspectives of science and higher education, digital education, lifelong learning, educational quality, intercultural literacy, interdisciplinary, and teacher-student relationship, providing new ideas for nurturing high-caliber and forward-looking new generations.
The monograph “Disentangled Vision on Higher Education: Preparing the Generation Next” will be available in December 2022. For more information, please click here to visit the publisher’s website.
