The Convocation for Academic Year 2023/2024 of the City University of Macau will be held tomorrow (September 6th) from 15:00 – 18:00 at the Cultural Centre on the Taipa Campus. The ceremony will be live streamed online, and live viewing rooms will be set up at HG01, HG02, and HG03 at the Ho Yin Convention Centre. Students who are unable to attend the Cultural Centre in person are invited to watch the ceremony online and experience the grand occasion together.
During the ceremony, there will be a scholarship award ceremony and a commendation ceremony for student service teams, recognizing outstanding students who excel in both academics and moral character, as well as exceptional student teams who have made remarkable contributions. A New Student Orientation will also be held, where representatives from the Judiciary Police, the Rector’s Office, Student Affairs Office, Registry, Information Technology Office, General Affairs Office, Library, and Office of Global Affairs will provide practical information about student life at CityU.
Please follow the arrangements given by your respective faculties to participate in the Convocation. Apart from freshmen attending the ceremony in person, all other freshmen are required to participate online.
The flag-raising ceremony for the new academic year at the City University of Macau will take place at 8:45 a.m. on September 6th (Wednesday) at the Platform Garden of the Tai Fung Building. CityU students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join.
Friendly reminder: It is recommended to arrive at the T Platform for the flag-raising ceremony by 8:30 a.m.
