CityU students engage in experiential activities to improve Portuguese proficiency and comprehensive quality
Recently, students from the Bachelor of Art in Portuguese at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the City University of Macau (CityU) participated in the 21st Portuguese Speech Contest. Under this year’s theme “fear is often worse than the danger itself,” third-year student Cheng Ziyu won third prize for her outstanding speech performance. Addition, the faculty also organized 11 students to participate in volunteering services during the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao). This allowed students to enhance and improve their Portuguese language skills, teamwork abilities, and cross-cultural communication skills through translation tasks and social services.
