The City University of Macau (CityU) held its graduation dinner 2024 at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, celebrating the achievements of its graduating class. The event, attended by over 700 people, included the Chancellor and Council Chairman Chan Meng Kam, Vice Chairman Ung Choi Kun and Vice Chairwoman Kong Fanqing, Rector Jun Liu, Vice Rectors Zhou Wanlei and Ip Kuai Peng, as well as members of the University Council, leaders, and heads of departments.
The ceremony featured a memorable graduation video, a speech from graduating student Sui Eryu reflecting on her learning journey at CityU, and performances by the Art Troupe. Rector Jun Liu, in his address, encouraged students to embrace challenges and changes, excel their talents to serve society. The event also included a series of lucky draws with prizes for the graduates. The ceremony concluded with a toast by the university leaders and guests to the graduates, celebrating their start of a new life chapter. This year’s honorary doctors Academicians Zheng Weimin and Quanshui Zheng, as well as Mr. Mark Jiapeng Wang, also attended the graduation dinner.
