The City University of Macau (CityU) successfully held the inauguration ceremony of the Jiangsu Alumni Association and the Annual Meeting of Regional Alumni Associations 2024 in Suzhou. The event was attended by over 120 alumni and student representatives from eight regional alumni associations, including Beijing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Xinjiang, Macao, Shanghai, and Jiangsu.
The inaugural meeting of the Jiangsu Alumni Association saw the appointment of Wang Sheng as the first president. Wang expressed his gratitude for the trust and support received and pledged to serve the University, alumni, and society. The event concluded with a presentation by Professor Yuan Jianyu from Soochow University, who shared insights on the advancements in nanotechnology and its applications in solar cell development.
The Annual Meeting of Regional Alumni Associations 2024 was moderated by Pro-Rector Robert Chan Chon Pat. Rector Jun Liu provided an update on the University’s recent developments and offered suggestions for the development of the alumni associations. Representatives from the eight regional alumni associations reported their work progress at the annual meeting.
