The City University of Macau (CityU) recently received a donation of the Xi Jinping: The Governance of China in multiple languages. The donation, consisting of nine volumes in Chinese, English, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Japanese, and Portuguese, was presented by Beijing Chongxue Cultural Development Co., Ltd. The handover ceremony took place at the Taipa Campus.
In his remarks, Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng highlighted the importance of the book in helping students to gain a thorough understanding of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of President Xi Jinping. He encouraged students to excel in their talents, cultivate patriotism, and promote the implementation of “one country, two systems.” Pro-Rector Wicky So Kam Hung presented a souvenir to Yu Fuwen, representative of the Beijing Chongxue Cultural Development Co., Ltd., in appreciation for their generous donation. Yu expressed his hope to form in-depth cooperation with CityU to promote China’s narratives. Associate Dean of Graduate School Zhou Long concluded that the book will help students understand China’s development, fostering their academic progress, comprehensive abilities, and global perspectives. Student representatives also presented at the handover ceremony.
