Vice Rector of City University, Prof. Aliana Leong and Dr. Li S.Y, Program Coordinator of the IMD, recently visited Cheng Shiu University as part of the enhancement of the administrative affairs of City University and communication and cooperation of Macau and Taiwan in the fields of education and tourism. Prof. Aliana Leong and Dr. Li S.Y were warmly welcomed by Rector Gong R.Z, Vice Rector Zheng S.R Vice Rector Wu B.L and other leaders of Cheng Shiu University. Rector Gong extended a warm welcome to the leaders from City University and introduced the overall development of administrative affairs of Cheng Shiu University. Prof. Aliana Leong expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and praised the great achievements Cheng Shiu University has made in academic research and scientific research management. In a lively discussion, Prof. Aliana Leong introduced the experiences and achievements of the FITM of City University of Macau in teaching management, quality control, scientific research and social services. She also shared that the Ed. M and Ed. D programs of the IMD construct advanced education structures, cultivate high level educational leaders for Macau and surrounding areas. Cheng Shiu University was set up as Cheng Shiu Junior College of Technology in 1965. It was then reorganized with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was renamed Cheng Shiu Institute of Technology & Commerce in 1980. In 1999, the school became Cheng Shiu Institute of Technology and was further upgraded to Cheng Shiu University in 2003. The University is currently comprised of 20 academic departments and 11 graduate institutes, organized under the College of Sciences, College of Business and Management, and the College of Life and Creativity, in an arrangement designed to promote the cultivation of well-rounded individuals equally adept in science and the humanities. |
