CityU harvests remarkable achievements in Applied Linguistics research, setting a record high for publications in top journals

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) at City University of Macau (CityU) has made breakthrough progress in the field of applied linguistics (AL), with scholars achieving significant research results. According to the latest statistics, the number of papers published by faculty members in internationally recognized SSCI journals has reached a new high. Of the over 40 SSCI papers published this academic year, more than 80% were indexed in Q1 journals, showcasing its strong capabilities and global competitiveness in AL research. CityU consistently emphasizes the importance of both research and teaching, actively promoting the development of cutting-edge research across various disciplines. Going forward, the University will continue to enhance its investment in research resources and deepen international cooperation and exchanges, striving to create a research and innovation hub with global influence, thereby promoting the development of education and humanities and social sciences in Macao and the nation.
