A delegation from Business College Guangdong Communication Polytechnic headed by Prof. Zeng Yan Ying, Dean of Business College, Prof. Tang Guo Hua, Deputy Dean, along with several teachers recently visited the SCS City University of Macau. The purpose of the visiting delegation included learning the experience of the SCS in developing industry-academy cooperation schemes and discussing future cooperation between the two institutions. Prof. Aliana Leong, Vice-Rector of City U, received the delegation and introduced to them the successful experience of the SCS in developing industry-academy cooperation schemes and cultivating urgently needed professionals for Macau. Prof. Leong particularly mentioned professional development schemes jointly developed with renowned enterprises, international exchange and internship schemes, and versatile professional training schemes. Prof. Zeng reciprocated by sharing the development of Guangdong Communication Polytechnic, especially the development of MICE management programs of the institution and put forward their opinions on future cooperation between the two institutions in professionals training. Prof. Zeng noted the advanced ideas and innovative modes of the SCS in training application-oriented professionals, which institutions in Mainland China could draw inspiration from. As a “National Mainstay Polytechnic College,” Guangdong Communication Polytechnic mainly provides higher vocational education, currently holds nearly 14,000 full time students in 42 majors. The institution expects that in-depth interaction and cooperation with the SCS would promote their level of professional trainings, internationalization of education, as well as industry-academy cooperation. Mr. Gary Kou, Administrative Officer of the SCS, Dr. Li Xi, Associate Dean of the FITM, and Dr. S.Y Lee, Associate Dean of the FED also attended the meeting.
