2017 Graduation Dinner Successfully Ended

Outside the remote pavilion, along the ancient path, fragrant grass assuring the dome. From spring to summer, with the sun shining fiercely on the parachutes, the farewell melody for graduation waft without a sign. In order to provide our fresh graduates with glorious campus memories and the opportunity to enhance connection between divisions, our school hosted the graduation dinner "Mid-Summer Nights" 2017 of City University of Macau on June 22^th at the Oasis Ballroom at Macau Galaxy Resort Hotel. The charms of our school campus drew a perfect full-stop in this score of musical notes. The dinner was organized by the 2017 Graduate Activities Committee, with consensus applause from guests and students for the pleasantly surprising atmosphere they had created.

Rector Shu Guang Zhang, Vice Rector Kong Fanqing, Pro Rector Ip Kuai Peng, Secretary General of the University Council Robert Chan, Academic Registrar Sean Li, Finance Director Jason Kuok and leaders from all facilities and administrative divisions attended the high table.

The dinner kicked off with the first gift from our school leaders, teachers and student representatives. Their sincere blessing and encouragement in the video touched every heart of the graduates. In the speech of Rector Zhang Shuguang, great affirmation and good vision was given to the 2017 graduates. By inviting guests and teachers to toast for the gala, the evening ran into the climax. After the toast, Rector Zhang Vice Rector Kong, Pro Rector Ip, Academic Registrar Li and graduate student representatives sliced the graduation cake for this year accompanied by hurray and countdown in unison. The happy graduation dinner "Mid-Summer Nights" 2017 of City University of Macau was then officially inaugurated.

This evening present a variety of brilliant shows. There were graduates bringing us solo and dance, meanwhile amazed by the awesome performance from the city dancers. With a grand finale by all committee members of the Graduate Activities Committee, singing us the song "As Times Passed By", recalling piles of memories of our fresh graduates.

The prizes for the gala were unique. In addition to a total value of gifts amounting to MOP15,000 sponsored by the Chairman of the University Council Chan Meng Kam, Vice Chairman Ung Choi Kun also sponsored his own autograph calligraphy. More surprisingly, another autograph calligraphy with inscriptions was sponsored by Rector Shu Guang Zhang and Director of Art Education Research Center Sun Jiangtao. Such cozy gifts preserved the warmth of our alma mater.

In the interactive session, students dropped down their look back on the University, some of the vision for the future, as well as expressing their gratitude to the school and friendship.

From purity in elementary school, to youth in junior high school, and rebellion in senior high school, moving onto maturity in university. We are grateful to grow, and grateful to encounter. Wishing us with the flow of friendships, we will be able to carry on, to overcome and sail voyage!
