Via the social media platform of Embassy of Portugal in China, Dr Francisco Leandro, Associate Dean of the Institute for Research on Portuguese-speaking Countries of the City University of Macau, wishes the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics a complete success.

Hello there! My name is Francisco Leandro. I'm talking to you from Macao SAR, China, precisely from the City University of Macau campus. The year 2022 welcomes another edition of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Beijing. We all wish the game to be an open, global, and inclusive celebration. In the wise words of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, “The important thing is not to win, but to participate”.
