The competition was underpinned by the organizing committee of China-ASEAN Education Week, supported by the Guizhou Provincial Public Administration Society and organized by the Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. It aimed to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between universities in countries (regions) along the “Belt and Road Initiative”, to promote the cultivation of public management talents in digital governance.
The case study put forward by the CityU team took the red kiwifruit, a specialty product of their hometown, as the research object. The red kiwifruit originated in the Chinese Cangxi county. The students conducted a series of studies on the low-grade quality of red kiwifruit in e-commerce, analyzed the problems and causes, and demonstrated solutions to promote their hometown products. This article could help China improve its rural economic development and the county explore ways to advance village revitalization.
