~FITM students actively participated at the 19th Macau International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF) this year. The students experienced professional training during the events. Graduate students who attended this activity and doing academic research, including recommended students of the UNWTO, and some exchange students from France, Zambia, Thailand, Mainland China, HongKong and Taiwan enthusiastically welcomed the experience.
The Macau International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF) is a significant annual event held by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion office, supported by the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies. It is not only the first exhibition of Macau verified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, but also a brand exhibition. The 19th MIF continued the theme of last year as ‘cooperation-key to business opportunities’, attracting participants from more than 50 countries and regions and many professionals. First time exhibitors from Peru and Indonesia were also in attendance. The exhibition area was over 30,000 square meters.
FITM students and teachers actively participate in Macau tourism industry events including the ‘Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Tourism minister Meeting’, 19th Macau International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF), Global Tourism Economy Forum, and the Macau Grand Prix for this year. Students enhance their understanding of Macau’s tourism industry through their participation to these events while giving exchange students better cognition of Macau’s unique culture.
