Vice Dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration, Wuhan University, Dr. Supervisor, Prof. Yan Shuangwu, visited the Institute of Macau Development (Institute) of City U. Prof. Yan was warmly welcomed by the Vice Rector of the University, Prof. Aliana Leong. Prof. Leong introduced the development and current situation of the Institute to Prof. aYn, who expressed a high degree of recognition of the educational philosophy presented. The two scholars exchanged ideas on academic and curriculum development, and reached a preliminary intention of expanding students interaction and exchange in curriculum development among teachers. The School of Political Science and Public Administration of Wuhan University has a long history. It is deeply rooted in academic studies, covering the two primary disciplines of political science and public administration. It is an established pillar in political science that could be traced back to the early 20th century while public administration was started in the 1980s. Both disciplines were the earliest offered in the country. The School has prominent discipline dominance, powerful schooling, and an exceptionally strong faculty. In the 2007-2009 Assessment of the National First Class Disciplines conducted by the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, two disciplines of the School broke the top 10 recordwith public administration ranking first. |
