On April 8, the jointly organized "Belt and Road" (Silk Road) Entrepreneurship Education Network Conference" by the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network, Global Entrepreneurship Research Center of Zhejiang University, Faculty of Business of CityU, Faculty of Finance of CityU, CityU Institute for Research on Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao 'One Belt and Road' Research Center, was held at Ho Yin Convention Centre. The worldwide experts and scholars on entrepreneurship development and research were invited to give presentations.
Professor Andrew Lock, Chairman of AMBA International Accreditation Advisory Board and the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network, Professor Wang Chongming, President of the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network and Senior Professor of Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Zhejiang University, Pro-Rector Ip Kuai Peng of CityU, Dean José Alves of Faculty of Business of CityU, Assistant Dean Khong Yueng Wah of Faculty of Finance of CityU etc. attended the conference.

Pro-Rector Ip Kuai Peng and Professor Andrew Lock delivered the conference opening speech. Within the context of "Belt and Road" initiative, they mentioned that efforts in the education sector were needed in cultivating new talents, with international entrepreneurship and innovation spirit embraced, and making continuous efforts for education globalization.
Then, Professor Wang Chongming from Zhejiang University, Professor Andrew Godley from University of Reading of Henley Business School, Professor Ito Takehiko from Nagoya University of Commerce & Business and Professor Alexander Welzl from the University of Applied Science in Vienna shared their valuable views in the theme lecture as the followings: From the aspects of digital start-up, global entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit, putting forward the key issues start-ups faced; elaborating the significance of developing the concept of entrepreneurial spirit and putting it into practice; outlining the new development in the future of Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education; illustrating the influence of complementary theory on taxonomy of entrepreneurial system through real examples; new hopes and positive influence for contemporary start-ups brought by "Belt and Road"; analyzing the innovation development and changes in China in recent years and pointing out that "Belt and Road" played a role in promoting science progress and economy construction, as well as building bridges for the development of global entrepreneurship. Responsible entrepreneurship has become the latest progress in the practice of global entrepreneurship and innovation.

In the afternoon, Professor Wang Chongming hosted "Family Business Entrepreneurship Conference" and Dean José Alves, Professor Tadao Onaka, Doctor Hu Honghao delivered speeches on this theme. Professor Andrew Lock hosted "Entrepreneurship and Social responsibility Research Conference" and Professor Zhao Yanhai, Professor Xue Xianfang and student Qian Shuquan from Faculty of Business of CityU presented their unique perspectives and delivered in-depth discussion on entrepreneurship, social responsibility and other topics. At the end of the conference, Professor Wang Chongming and Professor Andrew Lock reviewed and summarized the key points of the conference, clarified the importance of national innovation development and the role of "Belt and Road" played in promoting nation's science and technology progress and economy construction.
