A delegation from Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office led by Mr. Zhang Chao, Deputy Director of Changzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, recently visited the SCS City University of Macau. Prof. Aliana Leong, Vice-Rector of City U, Mr. Gary Kou, Chief Operating Officer of the SCS, and Dr. Li Xi, Deputy Dean of the FITM received the delegation warmly. Prof. Leong apprised the visitors of the features and development of the SCS. Mr. Zhang Chao thanked Prof. Leong for the warm reception and disclosed that the visit was aimed towards promoting communication between government sectors, education circles, and industries in the two cities, seeking opportunities of cooperation. Mr. Qin Jia, Rector of Changzhou Institute of Technology, and Mr. Gong Jing, Section Chief of Jintan Government Office, discussed the social, economic, cultural, and education development opportunities of Changzhou and particularly mentioned the future opportunities brought by Jiangsu-Macau cooperation campus. The visitors noted the successful experience of the SCS in curriculum design, industry-academy cooperation, and branding development and expressed their wishes to carry on in-depth communication and cooperation with the SCS in education internationalization, joint development of professionals of MICE and cultural and creative industries, and industry investment and development. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Zhang invited Prof. Leong to the 6th Jiangsu-Macau-Portuguese Speaking Countries Business Forum to be held in Macau this October on behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Government. Mr. Zhang also invited the SCS City U to visit Changzhou to further discuss cooperation on educational goals. |
