CityU Academy for Seniors, social organizations organize festival activities to foster a caring and inclusive community

In response to Macao’s active aging policy, Academy for Seniors of City University of Macau (CityU) organized a series of Mother’s Day activities themed “Blossom Warmth with Love” with student volunteers and multiple elderly service organizations, serving over 410 seniors. The event included two major activities. The floral workshop allowed the elderly to DIY their floral works, conveying both their kinship and love. The mindfulness lecture was designed to help seniors relieve stress and improve mental well-being. The Academy for Seniors leverages its resources, actively promoting elderly education and community services. Looking ahead, it will continue to organize diverse activities to encourage their social participation, help seniors realize their self-worth, and foster a caring and inclusive community.
