This year’s competition was jointly organized by the Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Preparation Committee and the Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau and Da Heng Qin (Macao) Co. Ltd., and it was implemented by the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC). Under the theme “Igniting the Engine of Technological Innovation, Reshaping New Quality Productive Forces”, the competition featured both an open corporate group and a start-up team group, attracting a total of 234 projects. These covered frontier fields including artificial intelligence, high-tech industries, biomedicine and health, and financial technology, with 121 projects submitted by higher education institutions in Macao.

A total of 41 innovation and entrepreneurship projects from CityU registered in the Start-up Team category for the competition. The three award-winning projects all address national strategic needs and market pain points, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI perception, nanopore sequencing, and GPCR-based drug discovery to develop globally competitive innovative solutions. Following the competition, the organizing committee will arrange for the finalist project teams to visit incubation bases and leading enterprises in the Greater Bay Area, including locations in Hengqin, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Shenzhen, and Dongguan. This will enable young entrepreneurs to gain first-hand experience of the entrepreneurial environment in the Greater Bay Area and explore opportunities for collaboration and business development.
