Rector Jun Liu introduced the history, educational characteristics, and achievements of CityU. He said, “With the aim to serve Macao’s positioning of ‘One Centre, One Platform, One Base,’ CityU continues to deepen collaboration with mainland universities and institutions to build a platform for country studies of the Portuguese-speaking countries, international events, and interdisciplinary education to cultivate young scholars and help academics and students broaden their horizons.” Going forward, CityU wishes to establish a longstanding partnership with China Daily to jointly nurture talents and facilitate language education development by maximizing its disciplinary strengths and platforms.

Through collaborations, he hopes to help overseas young generations understand China by telling them China’s stories and hopes to make full use of media, forum and exchange events to nurture Chinese youth to tell China’s stories well.

Based on the partnership, the two parties will create a new platform of internship and experiential learning for CityU’s students.
