Rector Jun Liu warmly welcomed the incoming exchange students. He spoke highly of the significance of exchange studies which could help students broaden horizons, gain valuable cultural experiences and life insights apart from studying in a new environment. According to him, the University values students’ diverse exchange experiences, and that OGA will continue expanding its global networks to provide more exchange opportunities.

The exchange session was conducted in a cordial atmosphere. Representatives from the OGA and the Library gave an overview of their services. The incoming exchange students had a friendly exchange with CityU students. The University hoped the activity would allow the exchange students to know more about the campus environment and help them blend into the CityU community.

This semester, CityU has launched semester exchange programmes with a number of partner institutions in the mainland, namely Nanjing University, East China Normal University, Shanghai University, Soochow University, Hunan Normal University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Shenzhen University, Xiangtan University, Guangxi Normal University and Guangzhou University. 21 CityU students and 16 incoming students from mainland institutions, including top universities and double first-class universities, participated in the exchange programmes. The students aspired to achieve excellence during the exchange period.

The Office of Global Affairs plans to open applications for second-semester exchange programmes in late October and early November. Please stay tuned to the information and announcement on the OGA website and TronClass system.
