To protect the health and safety of all students and staff, the University rigorously complied with the MSAR Government’s anti-epidemic measures, working together to ensure all preventive works were in place. To strengthen the prevention, CityU rolled out the “CityU Health Declaration” e-form and “Health Passport” on the “TronClass” app and required all CityU members to declare their health conditions before arriving at the campuses. All students and teaching staff are required to return to their usual place of residence (Macao, Zhuhai or Zhongshan) 10 days before the semester starts. The negative NAT result sampled within 72 hours must be presented.
In addition, the University continues to implement epidemic prevention measures on the campuses, including all entrants to the campuses are required to present health codes and have their body temperatures taken; disinfecting public areas such as the campuses, classrooms, cafeterias and student dormitory buildings on a regular basis; installing hand sanitiser dispensers in crowded places; optimising the layout of classrooms and cafeterias to maintain social distances, and continuously implementing the “guidelines on campuses and dormitory epidemic prevention at the City University of Macau”.
At the start of the year, CityU received a group of students and academic members who aspire to strive for academic excellence and a bright future. Rector Liu encourages all CityUers to forge ahead with determination and motivates all members to dedicate efforts to learning activities. Rector Liu encourages students to cherish their time at the University, stay hungry for knowledge and stay humble when asking questions. He wishes that academic members will continue delivering education excellence and make every effort to cultivate talents. Rector Liu hopes that all members of the University will drive forth as a team to contribute to the University's development and to serve Macao, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the nation, and beyond.
