CityU holds international symposium to promote industry-academic collaboration and disciplinary innovation in cultural heritage and marine heritage

To give a full play to Macao’s role as a pivotal city to the Belt and Road Initiative and to fully implement the ocean power strategy deployed by the country, the City University of Macau (CityU), Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), Guangdong Lankun Marine Technology Co., Ltd. held the 2022 International Symposium on the Conservation and Utilization of Cultural Heritage and Construction of Marine Heritage Discipline to facilitate the in-depth exchanges and study on cultural heritage and maritime cultural heritage. The event was held at the Taipa campus of CityU and featured virtual elements to include online audiences. The conference attracted some 100 renowned experts, scholars, academics and students internationally and received over 60 papers on the topic.
