CityU holds thematic workshop series to create new extracurriculum experiences for students

To mark its 45th anniversary, City University of Macau (CityU) held a series of thematic workshops to promote the physical and mental well-being of faculty and students, enriching campus life and fostering the all-round development of students. The workshops are in four major categories: mental health and healing, outdoor volunteer practices, humanities and arts literacy enhancement, and anniversary art experiences. The activities included a public-service hiking and mountain-cleanup event in Zhuhai, three mental wellbeing workshops, humanities lectures on gender awareness and life planning, as well as six handcraft activities such as Western calligraphy, polymer clay and tufting coaster. These activities helped faculty and students de-stress and build mental resilience, cultivated a sense of responsibility among young people, enhanced their overall competence and fostered students’ sense of belonging.
