The lecture was structured around three key dimensions: the significance and function of time-space thinking, its types and methods, and enhancing strategies and approaches.
Professor Chen emphasized that in this new era of globalization and digitalization, leaders must be equipped with strategic thinking across both time and space to seize opportunities amid complex changes. To deepen theoretical understanding, he illustrated the practical application of time-space thinking across different historical contexts, drawing on examples from the use of wartime strategies to the globalized allocation of time-space resources in modern company.
Professor Chen Guoquan is a leading figure in the field of management science in mainland China. With over two decades of dedicated research in leadership development, his recent work Time-Space Theor  breaks through traditional management frameworks by integrating perspectives from philosophy, history, and management studies, offering contemporary leaders a new example for strategic thinking.
The lecture not only broadened the academic perspectives of faculty and students but also enriched doctoral education with cutting-edge theoretical insights. Doctoral students in attendance noted that the integration of historical and contemporary interpretations transformed abstract philosophical concepts into practical leadership tools.

Moving forward, CityU will continue to invite renowned scholars from home and abroad to build high-level academic exchange platforms, contributing to the cultivation of future leaders.
