The opening ceremony of the international academic symposium commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held at the Ho Yin Convention Centre of City University of Macau (CityU). With the theme “remembrance, reflection, integration”, the event aimed to trace wartime history, build a shared future for mankind and reflect on the importance of cherishing and safeguarding world peace. It was organized by Macau Chinese Cultural Promotion Live Broadcast Association, hosted by CityU’s Cross-Strait Cultural Research and Exchange Center, with funding support from the Macao SAR Cultural Development Fund. the symposium brought together scholars from mainland China, Macao, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
