The exchange student orientation for the second semester of academic year 2022/2023 organized by the Office of Global Affairs at City University of Macau was successfully held today at Taipa Campus. The incoming exchange students from mainland universities, outgoing exchange students from CityU, administrative staff, and student ambassadors participated in this event.
Prof. Jun Liu, Rector of City University of Macau, warmly welcomed the exchange students, and talked about the significance of exchange learning. He hoped that the students could make the most of the learning opportunity and enjoy valuable exchange experience. He also encouraged students to actively participate in outgoing exchange activities to help them broaden their horizons, explore opportunities and unleash their potentials.
The orientation was held in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. CityU Library Head Shi Limei gave a brief introduction to the basic services of the libraries. The exchange students sat together and shared their learning experiences and challenges at CityU and their exchange universities. They also discussed the different teaching methods and modes that brought them different insights, the unforgettable experiences they encountered during the exchange journey, and the impressive professors, students and friends they met. They also exchanged their views on the different cultures brought by different exchange cities, and shared the tourist attractions and delicacies of various places.
In this semester, CityU has jointly organized a wide range of semester programs in partnership with mainland universities such as Xiamen University, East China Normal University, Shanghai University, Soochow University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Shenzhen University, Guangxi Normal University, and Guangzhou University. As the COVID-19 impact dissipates over time, CityU plans to resume overseas exchanges programs and create more exchange opportunities for students to gain diversified learning experience.
