At the beginning of the new year, the City University of Macau (CityU Macau) welcomes a new vibrant semester. With CityUers returned to the campus after a short break, aspirations and enthusiasm are once again airing on the campus.
A brand-new semester
To ensure a smooth schedule for the new semester, Prof Jun Liu, Rector of CityU Macau, visited the classrooms on the first day of school. All teaching members and students returned to school as planned to kick off a new round of education activities. Rector Liu thanked teachers for their diligent work and hoped they would continue to carry out academic research. He encouraged the teachers to continue delivering inspiring lessons to nurture talents.
New semester with fresh aspiration
Looking ahead to 2022 at the start of the new semester, the University enlightens students to set goals for the fresh year, make pursuits for the new semester, and learn to navigate their future. CityU Macau encourages students to stay humble to others' advice, be open-minded to further knowledge, and absorb wisdom to enrich their lives. The University advises students to remain flexible and learn to tackle challenges ahead.
Fruitful “Go-Green!” tea party
Moving on to the third tea party session of the “Go Green!” Staff Club, here came an opportunity for all faculty members to gather together to celebrate the new year. Organised by the Faculty of Business (FOB) and Faculty of Finance (FOF), the event started with spectacular music performances carried out by students from FOB, FOF, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS). The students brought the solo performance of the Chinese string instrument of Guzheng and vocals accompanied by guitar music and wooden box drums. The event organisers also prepared fruits and refreshments for staff to enjoy while exchanging ideas.
Thank you for the great support and sponsorship of Luso International Banking and Well Link Bank, the lucky draw session boomed out attractive cash prizes and gifts, which lighted up the event atmosphere. The event was concluded in joy and laughter.
