To welcome the Lunar New Year, the City University of Macau (CityU) recently held a series of New Year celebrations to send warm wishes to students, faculty, and staff. These activities have filled the campus with a joyful and festive atmosphere, enriching the campus culture.
A great way to pass on Lunar New Year traditions is through practicing the art of writing Spring Festival couplets. The Student Affairs Office organized a special workshop for residential students to make their own Chinese couplets, guiding them to aspire for a better year ahead.
To deliver best wishes, the Human Resources Office (HRO) prepared sticky rice cakes for faculty, staff, and their families to enjoy during the festive season. The staff also drew fortune sticks to bring home auspicious blessings. Recently, CityU hosted the sixth session of the “Go Green!” Staff Club Gathering activity, where students from the Faculty of Innovation and Design were invited to write New Year couplets for the staff members on-site. Through the integration of creativity and Chinese calligraphy art, CityU aimed to deliver auspicious messages to all its members.
