In his speech, Rector Jun Liu welcomed the staff members at “Green!” Staff Club Gathering. He thanked CityU’s volunteers who participated in city-wide nucleic acid testing programs during the pandemic outbreak. On occasion, Rector Liu presented certificates to over 110 staff members to commend their selfless contributions and delivered a tailor-made gift bag designed by Mr Leong Ieng Wai, a young autistic artist of the Fuhong Society of Macau. CityU collaborated with the local charity group to produce a series of gifts featuring signature buildings of the University, hoping to give special needs individuals the opportunity to display their talents and to bring care and love to the campus.

The “Go Green!” Staff Club Gathering featured an array of booth games, the “How much do you know about CityU?” quiz game allowed staff members to learn more about the history and development of the University. Winners had the chance to join the lucky draw sections to get prizes. Meanwhile, The CityU Reporter also provided on-site ID photo-taking services.

The Student Ambassador Program and the CityU Reporter Program are platforms to cultivate students’ whole-person development. Under the guidance of the Rector’s Office, the student ambassadors will assist the University in hosting various events, visitor receptions and promotional activities with professional images, helping them to develop their capabilities in administration, event planning and public relations; the CityU reporters will help collect news information and media promotions, allowing them to equip skills in news writing and editing, photography, video production, and social media operation.

Going forward, each faculty will host the “Go Green!” Staff Club Gathering. The University will engage more staff in the activities to build an open communication environment and create a proactive and cohesive campus culture.
