On November 19, City University of Macau signed a Cooperation Agreement with Royal Roads University at CityU’s Taipa Campus. Vice-President, Dr. Pedro G. Marquez, Professor Tony Boydell of Royal Roads University and Rector, Prof. Shu Guang Zhang, Registrar, Prof. Sean Li, Dean of Faculty of International tourism and management, Prof. Kevin Hannam, Dean of Faculty of Business, Prof. José C. Alves, Excutive Associate Dean of Faculty of International tourism and management, Prof. Gavin Chau of CityU attended this signing ceremony. Both sides signed a Cooperation Agreement after a discussion.

During the discussion section, Rector, Prof. Zhang introduced the development history of CityU, the characteristics of disciplines and the advantages of running CityU. Vice-president, Pedro G. Marquez also introduced the development and the future prospect of Royal Roads University. Both discussed future cooperation and reached agreement.

It is the first cooperation agreement signed between Royal Roads University and a university in Macao, which also reflects the active response of CityU after the implementation of the Higher Education Act. The cooperation between CityU and Royal Roads University fully combines the advantages of the international tourism discipline. CityU hopes to seek more extensive and in-depth exchange opportunities in other disciplines in the future.
