Previously, audit representatives from SGS Hong Kong Limited visited CityU for the certification assessment against ISO9001:2015. The visit began with a management representative meeting with Rector Shu Guang Zhang and Mr. Wicky So, Director of Administrative Division. The meeting was followed by the audit assessment of the ISO9001 Quality Management System implemented by Library, Information Technology Office and Human Resources Office. After a comprehensive assessment, all three departments successfully passed the audit. ISO9001:2015 is an international standard with a customer centric focus. Its implementation embraces quality management and continual improvement as the core of the organization, ensures that quality management and the university’s operations strategy integrate into a unified approach, and enables more leadership involvement in the quality management system to advance the mission and values of the university. This successful certification marks another milestone in the development of CityU. Rector Zhang congratulates the ISO team on the achievement and hope that this will provide a solid foundation for ISO certification and further strengthen the regulatory framework and quality management of the university. |
