The Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) at the City University of Macau (CityU) has once again won the championship at the 2024 TakeOff! Student Challenge in Greater China, marking their second win. This year’s theme, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ibis Hotels, focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Guided by Assistant Professor Tammy Meng Ting, the FITM team, “Mosaic,” consisted of students Yan Pei and Yan Yutao, and their proposal stood out from the competition. Their project proposed an innovative hotel experience that seamlessly blends online and in-person elements, emphasizing the hotel’s connection to the local community, sustainable practices, and social responsibility. They also presented ingenious solutions to safeguard the intellectual property rights of Ibis hotels.
