Students from the Faculty of Data Science of the City University of Macau (CityU) won the third prize in the Network track category at the Macao regional of the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023. The Macao regional was organized by Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, the Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau, and the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, which attracted over 600 participants.

With the theme of “Connection, Glory, Future” and the slogan of “I.C. The Future”, the competition is divided into three stages: Macao regional, Asia Pacific regional, and Global final, with a cloud track and a network track. The Macao regional drew 643 participants and saw 72 finalists in the cloud track and network track. Under the support of Assistant Professor Ying Zuobin, students: Jin Yuxin, Ma Chenxiao, and Liu Yunzhi won third prize in the network track category.
The Huawei ICT (information and communication technology) Competition is open to university students worldwide. The competition aims to build an international exchange platform for students to enhance their ICT knowledge and practical skills, develop their innovative ability on new technologies and help global digitalization progress. Since it was first held in 2015, the number of participating institutions and students has been increasing, and it has become a top international competition in the field.
