Congratulations! CityU student Cai Feilong wins silver medal in Wushu finals at Asian Games 2023

In today's Asian Games 2023, Cai Feilong, a talented local martial arts athlete and a student from the Faculty of Business at the City University of Macau (CityU), secured a silver medal despite facing defeat against an Iranian athlete in the men's 75kg category of the Wushu (Sanda) finals.

During the 75kg Sanda competition at the Asian Games, Cai displayed fierce competition against elite athletes representing various countries and regions. Through a series of eliminations, he advanced to the finals. Having previously faced his final opponent in past competitions, Cai entered the match with determination. However, in the early stages, he was forcefully knocked out of the ring. Despite his efforts to regain the advantage through proactive attacks, he was repeatedly brought down by his opponent, ultimately resulting in a loss by WPD decision. Nevertheless, Cai’s remarkable performance has earned Macao its first silver medal in this edition of the competition.
