The project focused on the renewal of the old neighbourhood of “Pátio da Eterna Felicidade” in Macao, a cluster of courtyards and valleys built according to the land’s topography, showing the effect of undulating heights in different courtyard sceneries.

Following the government's urban micro-renovation guidance and the people's needs, the project has put forward historical revitalisation and the preservation of characteristic elements while preserving the structure of the old neighbourhood.

The design of the interior and exterior spaces and multi-functional activity spaces presented a high level of airy, lively, and living atmosphere, which revitalised the humanistic and classic features of the building.

The Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) aims to nurture academic and creative design professionals with international perspectives in the new era, encouraging students to exert their strengths and helping them to enhance their competitiveness in the workplace.

FIAD organises the Graduation Exhibition for the Bachelor of Arts in Design to present students' four-year learning achievements, and further strengthening students' hands-on experiences on interdisciplinary theories, knowledge and skills. The success of the graduate of the class of 2022, Chen Dongxia, is a recognition of FIAD's teaching quality and encouragement to further promote design education.
