Delegation Led by Xing Shanping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Visited the University

On 25 April, a delegation led by Xing Shanping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, visited the University and was warmly received by our University leaders, including Chairman Chan Meng Kam and Vice Chairman Yan Zexian of the University Council and Rector Zhang Shuguang.

Chairman Chan welcomed the delegation and talked about both the current development and prospects of the University. Rector Zhang told the delegation that in recent years, the University had been learning from the experience of modern metropolitan universities around the globe. It had been striving to establish itself as a unique, high-quality and comprehensive university of academic excellence in humanities, arts, business and social sciences. It also nurtured practical and application-oriented talent for Macau and the region.

Minister Xing and other delegates had a tour around the campus. She spoke highly of the positioning of the University and its achievements in recent years. She hoped that the exchange of views during the visit would promote cooperation between the two places in different areas and the two places could have more in-depth exchange and communications.
