Director of Art Education Research Center Sun Jiangtao being selected in the 5th National Academy Art Exhibition

Recently, the final review list of the Fifth National Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition is announced. It is pleased to see our school Director of Art Education Research Center Sun Jiangtao being selected in this exhibition as a representative participant for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan region. Being one of the two in Macau area being selected in this exhibition, Director Sun will have the opportunity to display his exquisite art works on this advanced academic platform along with Liu Dawei, Wang Mingming, Li Xiao Ke, Xu Qin Song, Chen Jialing, Huang Yongyu and a number of state-level master of painting and calligraphy, and will be well known to more art lovers.

It is reported that the Fifth National Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition won the support of the Ministry of Culture Art. It was sponsored by the Chinese National Academy and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture, which will be held in February 2017 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, with a high level of academic and proficient. It fully strengthened exchanges and cooperation between the national painting institutes. The exhibition is designed to showcase outstanding artworks of experts from different painting institutes in recent years. On the basis of the essence from pervious exhibitions, it will continue to look out for splendid artworks and carry on the undertaking of Chinese art. Drawing on the theme "Affection and Ideal for the Silk Road" of this year, demonstrating the Chinese aesthetic and the embrace of Human, Nature, and Earth from the wisdom of the Silk Road. Open up and beyond the ideal personality of life ontology, highlighting the endless pulse of Chinese art.

Director Sun learnt from the famous Chinese landscape painter Mr. Zhang Junwen in his early years. Starting with portrait, followed by landscape (sansui), with a love for the style of splashed ink and color (Haboku and Hatsuboku), he demonstrated a bold creativity openheartedly at one go. Collectwidely from Jinling landscape painting essence, creating a unique artistic style draw on others traditional skills. He has won the Gold Medal of "Chinese Paintings for the Past 100 Years", and has held solo exhibitions in the China National Art Museum, the National Museum of China, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Guangdong Art Museum, the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts, the Zhejiang Art Museum, the Tokyo Ginza Art Museum, the Philippine National Museum, Tap Seac Square in Macau and other local and abroad exhibition halls and famous art museums. His exhibitions had evoked great repercussions in the community and his works are collected by a number of famous museums locally and abroad. He has published a series of outstanding collections including "China Modern and Contemporary Famous Paintings Portfolio - Sun Jiangtao", "Millennium Delightful Painting and Calligraphy Collection for Three”, "Zhang Junwen X Sun Jiangtao Apprenticeship Landscape Paintings", “Lofty Mountain and Drizzling Streams - Sun Jiangtao Sansui Paintings Collection” and “Threesome Hatsuboku Paintings” etc.

Responding to being selected in the National Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition, Director Sun revealed that he will proceed to concentrate on improving his artistic attainments, continue to create fine calligraphy and paintings. He wished to devote his own experience in painting and calligraphy for the development of higher education and inheritance of Chinese art.
