Lecturer Pedro Paulo dos Santos of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) of the City University of Macau (CityU Macau) talked about his doctoral thesis research Forum Macao: From Diplomacy to Paradiplomacy in an interview with the local public service broadcaster Teledifusão de Macau (TDM).
Pedro Paulo dos Santos enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in Studies of Portuguese-Speaking Countries programme offered by the Institute for Research on Portuguese-speaking Countries at CityU Macau. His research examines the organisation structure of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, offers insights on Chinese diplomatic policies from the current geopolitical perspectives.
The research carried out by Lecturer Paulo dos Santos promotes a better understanding of the links between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries and Macao’s role as a platform between the two sides.
