On 2nd July 2013, a total of 20 DBA students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) set off to Taipei, Taiwan and started an EMBA short course – International Marketing at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). Led by the Assistant Professor of FOM, Dr Perry Ip, and the 2012 DBA student, Marvin Ma, the FOM students have completed the course in a week’s time. As required by the professor, all students will be divided into four groups in which each group will work on a specific topic in the marketing field. Assessment will be through group PPT presentation and made by the professors at NTUT. On successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a certificate from NTUT.
This course took place at the EMBA centre at NTUT, and was taught by the Director of Department of Business Management (DBM) of NTUT, Prof Tung-lai Hu. With a Doctorate Degree in Marketing from National Taiwan University, Prof Hu is renowned in the area of marketing. Also, Prof Hu is a visiting professor at the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University. The students very much enjoyed the course with Prof Hu as well as his teaching style.
The FOM students proactively participated in class, which has left an excellent impression on the professors at NTUT. Prof Hu admired the FOM DBA and MBA students for their efforts and performance. He hoped that this kind of activity could be organised continuously and that more FOM students will take part in student exchange at NTUT in the future.
Guided by the teaching staff at NTUT, Mr E-well Lin, the FOM students made a visit to the campus of NTUT and experienced the electric car built by NTUT.
